One of the highlights of this past season? This absolutely stunning wedding at Villa Cortine in Sirmione — a weekend-long celebration filled with romance, fun, and timeless Old Hollywood glam.

Alyssa, the bride, is a true Hollywood child — born and raised in L.A., she’s a filmmaker and the daughter of Ronald Victor Garcia, the cinematographer behind Twin Peaks and many other iconic works. Her love story with Nate spans eight years, filled with highs, lows, sickness, and health: a connection so deep and real, you could feel it in every moment of the day.

Our time together started the night before the wedding, with Selene capturing their effortlessly chic, French Riviera-inspired engagement shoot, while Nina documented the stunning welcome party setup. Picture this: a long imperial table set for an al-fresco dinner, right on the dock of the villa, surrounded by the tranquil waves of Lake Garda. A dream setting for a late-summer night!

The morning of the wedding at Villa Cortine began with luxury not just for the couple, but for everyone involved — the entire five-star hotel was rented out, and vendors were treated to two nights of indulgence (a very appreciated touch!).

We loved photographing the wedding details, each thoughtfully curated by Alyssa and Nate alongside their planner, Jane Handel. Their goal? To create an atmosphere of intimate luxury, where guests could fully immerse themselves in the magic of the day. Every element, down to the stationery, reflected that vision.

Nate, embracing his Italian roots, wore a stunning Zegna suit that exuded classic, vintage elegance. Meanwhile, Alyssa brought her own iconic style—we affectionately dubbed her “Millennial Fran Fine” (and we stand by it!). Leopard-print underwear and a ’90s rock-and-roll-inspired wedding dress? Absolutely.

Their first look on the terrace of Villa Cortine was a perfect blend of raw emotion and rockstar-chic, setting the tone for a ceremony officiated by their closest friends. After heartfelt vows, they honored Alyssa’s Jewish heritage with the traditional breaking of the glass — sealing their love as husband and wife!

The cocktail hour was pure Italian magic: live music, fresh mozzarella made on the spot, fruit spritzes, and one very unexpected game. You’ve heard of cornhole, right? Well, swap the first letter, and you get this wedding’s version—designed by Alyssa herself and inspired by ancient Roman mosaics of an ahem suggestive nature.

Dinner was an intimate, candlelit al-fresco affair, where Alyssa made her second outfit change — stepping into a vintage black Italian jumpsuit, ready to dance the night away. And dance they did! Swapping live music with a DJ for the perfect soundtrack, the party was nothing short of legendary.
