Wedding at Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni, Lake Como

When the style and timeless charm of a grandiose five-star hotel meets a fashionista surgeon-bride, her loving husband, the most perfect dog (Skye!), and their closest friends and family, the result is a simply breathtaking wedding at Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni, that we were so happy to have captured through our photography and videography. Not even a rainy day on Lake Como could spoil the gorgeous occasion!

The Grand Hotel of Bellagio, Villa Serbelloni, is a stunning example of mid-nineteenth-century aesthetics (its foundation dates back to 1851, making it the oldest five-star hotel on the lake) with a modern twist in its refined and contemporary decor. This timeless elegance was exactly the vibe Michelle and Christian sought for their wedding at Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni. The bride’s choice of two dresses in completely different styles reflected this blend perfectly, and we ensured their distinct vision was documented through both photos and film.

For the ceremony, Michelle wore a beautiful, bowed, timeless yet super fashionable A-line Viktor & Rolf gown. The hotel’s corridors inspired us to give her wedding dress photographs a fashion-forward edge. Christian’s old Hollywood-inspired style and their dog Skye added even more charm to the portraits, a combination we loved capturing on camera. We really focused on the timelessness of their aesthetic choice for their earlier portraits.

The couple opted for a first look. While the original plan was an outdoor garden ceremony, rainy weather led Rebecca, the talented wedding planner from Love on Lake Como, to create magic on the indoor terrace instead. Pink, meadow-inspired florals by The Garden of Love transformed the space, setting the perfect stage for Michelle and Christian’s wedding at Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni. We captured every detail of this intimate moment in both photos and video.

Following their first look, the couple enjoyed a portrait session on a wooden water taxi, showcasing Lake Como’s timeless beauty, followed by indoor bridal party portraits filled with laughter and elegance.

The ceremony, officiated by Fabio, the Como Lake Celebrant, featured music by Bonus Malus. After the aperitif, dinner was held in the grand Salone Reale, where we loved the meadow-like design of the imperial table. Michelle changed into a second stunning outfit—a Cult Gaia dress with bell sleeves, a golden crown by Epona Vallery, and iconic Sophia Webster butterfly shoes, a perfect nod to 70s glamour. These details, along with the warm ambiance of the venue, were a joy to document through our storytelling lens.

This stylish transformation was ideal for sunset portraits, perfectly capturing the essence of their wedding at Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni. The evening ended with a millefoglie cake cutting and a lively dance party, every moment brimming with joy and elegance that was a pleasure and a real joy to capture in our photos and videos.
