A Venice Venice Elopement

The secret gems of Venice for a romantic elopement day

A wonderfully romantic Chinese elopement in Venice, at the iconic Venice Venice Hotel

Italy has a charm and allure that surpasses the national borders, and the European ones, arriving and thriving all over the world. Many Chinese couples choose Italy for their destination Elopement – and the reason is pretty obvious!
Itailove is the only Italian-Chinese owned wedding planning company specializing in Chinese events in Italy. We have had the pleasure of working with them a couple of times in the past year, and one of these occurrences was Beilin and Yating’s romantic elopement in Venice. Enjoy!

Beilin and Yating celebrated their union in Venice in a warm and bright October day. Our day together had many different moments, and started at the wonderful Venice Venice Hotel – one of the latest five-star hotels in Venice, built by the renovation of the historical palace Ca’ Da Mosto – one of the most ancient buildings of Venice. The hyper contemporary architecture mixed with the iconic beauty of the palace made The Venice Venice Hotel one of the most intertesting palaces we have shot in in the recent years.

The bride and groom shared a typical Italian espresso with Bussolai cookies – the typical sweets of Burano – as a start to their day. Then, Yating wore his suit and waited for Beilin downstairs: she wore her ceremony dress for their first look, a romantic moment by the piano in the noble floor of the Venice Venice.

Then, Yating changed to her princess-style dress for a couple shoot inside Ca Sagredo, celebrating the timeless beauty of Venice, its dark frescoed halls, its lights and shadows.

After returning to the Venice Venice, we took a water taxi to the wonderful Scuola Grande San Giovanni Evangelista, another landmark of Venice. Recognized as one of the oldest and most fascinating Scuole still active in Venice, this building is a true gem, enriched over the centuries by the genius of the greatest artists, including Tiziano and Bellini. Today, the ancient deconsecrated church, witness to centuries of history and transformations, becomes the stage for unforgettable symbolic weddings – like the one these two had.

After the romantic ceremony, we headed back to the hotel where Beilin and Yating cut their wedding cake and toasted to their union in the wonderful, traditionally Venicean terrazza overlooking the Grand Canal and Rialto Bridge.

At last, Beilin changed to ther final outfit – a lovely embroidered two-piece with a decorared headband for our final hour together, a romantic sunset ride on a gondola. The perfect ending for such a wonderful day!
