La Notte a Venezia: A Night Elopement in Venice
Exploring the beauty and romance of a Night Elopement in Venice
La Notte a Venezia: a Night Elopement in Venice inspired by Gucci
La Notte a Venezia is an inspiration Elopement shoot organized and imagined by Sara Sabà, wedding planner, together with Alba Renna and Selene Pozzer, videographer and photographer, founders of ManiSol Wedding.
This Editorial Shoot was born from the idea of creating an Elopement Wedding with a mood of elegance, decadence, and sensuality, bringing the viewer to perceive a unique Wedding Day experience. The shooting will be characterized by soft atmospheres, a romantic night ceremony, but at the same time by a strong fashion and boudoir imagery inspired by the night photographs shot by Helmut Newton, and by the “Gucci Guilty” commercial shot in Venice.
Shooting around Venice in the middle of the night was simply spectacular: Venice is probably one of the cities that shows its truest colors and atmosphere when there is no one around, in a sensual and decadent mood.
The story of this Editorial Night Elopement in Venice dates back years: ever since watching the iconic “Gucci Guilty” spot featuring Jared Leto and a night in Venice, we started imagining how awesome it would be to transfer such a sensual and decadent atmosphere into an elopement session. We wanted to find the right couple and the right vendors to make it happen – at first, we brainstormed ideas with the wedding planner, Sara, whose style and aesthetic perfectly match ours.
Then, we partnered up with Michele and Costanza from Il Nido Verde: their expertise and out-of-the-box way of thinking were absolutely perfect for this shooting – look at the flower-decorated chaise-longue!
The gorgeous, historical Hotel Luna Baglioni was on board with our project as well and offered us their finest suit, the spectacular San Giorgio Suit with one of the most amazing views of the whole city.
The team of Pronovias brainstormed with us about the perfect dress for this shooting, something timeless, classic, and super elegant – their Eureka dress was absolutely perfect for this.
We wanted to capture the beauty of Venice by night in all its sensual atmosphere – we needed the right couple, and when we found Milena and Carlomaria, we knew they were the ones!
Our night elopement in Venice started in the late afternoon when we shot and filmed inside the beautiful suit of the Luna Baglioni Hotel. Once the couple arrived, we started shooting: the bride enjoyed a warm milk bath surrounded by wildflowers, while the groom wrote his vows and played his guitar. Then, they moved to the decorated chaise-longue and shot lingerie polaroids in a sensual, Blow Up-inspired atmosphere.
Then, we walked out of the hotel past midnight: Venice was completely empty, and the atmosphere upon arriving in Piazza San Marco was absolutely breathtaking. There, the couple shared their vows and popped a bottle of champagne open, playing around the tables and chairs of the empty streets. We enjoyed the night until sunrise came when we shot in the still empty square and Rive until the rosy sunrise came.
An incredible experience for a spectacular shooting – we loved every minute of it!
