An intimate Indian wedding in Tuscany, the perfect blend of two lives and two stories
Patrick and Puja’s love story was hard-wired to this magical Tuscan place from the very beginning, even if they didn’t know it yet! As Puja told us, on their first date in Boston they went for a picnic, and Patrick brought a bottle of wine coming from his family’s farm in Tuscany, Corzano e Paterno. The “sliding doors” of life brought Patrick’s aunt to meet and fall in love with a Swiss gentleman who left his home country for Tuscany, so then she left the States and moved to Italy to create a home and raise a family here.
More than fifty years later, Corzano e Paterno is a farm that produces wine and cheese following the traditional methods, and whose homes are rented for tourists and travelers who want to experience the real Tuscan experience.
Puja comes from an Indian family, so in order to cherish and express both family heritages, they chose to have an Intimate Indian Wedding in Tuscany at Corzano e Paterno. Where two worlds collide, over and over again.

Ever since they started imagining their wedding, Patrick and Puja had always dreamed of a celebration with their closest friends and family members that would blend their Indian roots and Tuscan family story. Clearly, Corzano e Paterno in the Tuscan countryside was the perfect location!
The day started with a bit of a hiccup, as it rained in the morning. However, the weather soon cleared up, and a shy sun came out just in time for the Baarat, the traditional Indian groom’s procession. Patrick walked – or better, danced – the Tuscan white roads accompanied by his family, friends, and an Indian drummer for an intimate but loud and fun procession.
The ceremony was held under a beautifully decorated mandap, surrounded by flowers and greenery. Puja wore a stunning red, gold, and cream-colored flower decorated Sari, while Patrick looked dashing in a traditional green Indian sherwani. They followed the rituals of the Hindu ceremony, then exchanged their vows and rings, and completed the ceremony with the seven vows around the sacred fire.
As the sun began to set, the couple changed into their night attire – a beautiful, asymmetrical white wedding dress for Puja and a green suit for Patrick. After some other couple photos, the spouses and their guests gathered in the courtyard of the villa for a family-style dinner. The long wooden table was adorned with candles, flowers, and rustic Tuscan touches. The menu featured both Indian and Italian delicacies, and the guests enjoyed a lively evening filled with toasts, music, and laughter.
Patrick and Puja’s intimate Indian wedding in Tuscany was a perfect reflection of their love for each other and their cultural heritage. It was a magical day that they will treasure forever, and a celebration that brought together their families and friends from all over the world.
