A Chinese bride and an Indian groom, their love story began in New York and brought together family, friends, and traditions for a weekend-long celebration filled with joy, color, and elegance. Lido di Lenno set the stage for a vibrant, rainbow-hued Hindu wedding, while Villa Lario hosted a timeless Western ceremony in a sophisticated all-white palette. Day One: A Vibrant Hindu Wedding at Lido di Lenno

Zhe and Shankar kicked off their Lake Como wedding weekend with a joyful, colorful, and tradition-filled Hindu ceremony at Lido di Lenno. Guests embraced the dress code, donning elegant saris and sherwanis or bright, festive outfits that perfectly matched the energy of the day. The wedding party, dressed in coordinated shades of pink, looked absolutely stunning.

Before the ceremony, Shankar made a grand entrance with a lively Baarat along the lake -accompanied by his groomsmen and guests, dancing and celebrating all the way to the venue. And in a fun Italian twist, he rode a bright red Vespa instead of a traditional horse!

Under a breathtaking rainbow-hued Mandap, the couple exchanged vows in a beautiful Hindu ceremony, blending tradition with the magic of Lake Como. The festivities continued with an Indian-inspired feast, set against vibrant floral décor that echoed the joyful spirit of the day. The night ended with an unforgettable dance party on the beach – an electrifying start to an incredible wedding weekend!

Day Two: An Elegant White Wedding at Villa Lario

After the vibrant Hindu celebration, Zhe and Shankar’s wedding weekend continued with a breathtaking Western white wedding at Villa Lario, Mandello.

Zhe stunned in three different looks throughout the day: a sophisticated V-neck gown for the ceremony, a traditional red Chinese dress for the cake cutting, and a chic feathery mini dress for the after-party. Every outfit was a perfect reflection of her effortless elegance.

In contrast to the explosion of colors from the day before, the couple embraced a timeless black-tie aesthetic and an all-white décor for their Western wedding. Their ceremony setup was truly unique: a circular arrangement atop a hill, allowing them to be surrounded by their loved ones as they exchanged vows.

The reception took place under a stunning clear tent, where delicate clouds of baby’s breath cascaded from above, creating a dreamy, ethereal atmosphere. After dinner, guests were treated to a spectacular fireworks display over the lake, followed by an unforgettable dance party in a cave beneath the villa. It was the perfect ending to a wedding weekend filled with love, beauty, and celebration!
