Harriet & Dan – September 12th, 2024
Elopement in Sorrento at Grand Hotel Cocumella
An elopement in Sorrento is all about intimacy, beauty, and living in the moment – and Harriet and Dan’s wedding was exactly that. With the Gulf of Sorrento stretching endlessly behind them, their day was romantic, effortless, and completely true to who they are.
Captured beautifully by our Eleonora, every detail felt personal and deeply meaningful, and it was a real pleasure to photograph!
Harriet, a calligrapher and stationery designer, knew exactly what she wanted for her wedding day: a private event that felt intimate, stylish, and special in every way.
She and Dan fell in love with Grand Hotel Cocumella, a historic gem in Sorrento with lush gardens, a breathtaking sea-view terrace, and an old-world charm that made it the perfect place to say I do.
On the morning of the wedding, Harriet did her own hair and makeup, taking her time and soaking in every moment. She looked absolutely stunning in her custom Anne Blanchard dress—a piece that was made just for her and matched her romantic and timeless beauty. Dan, in his black-tie suit, was the perfect match, exuding classic elegance with a relaxed, effortless feel.
The ceremony was held on the hotel’s terrace, just the two of them, with a violinist playing softly in the background. The sea stretched endlessly before them, the golden light hit just right—it was pure magic.
Afterwards, we wandered through the hotel’s orange garden for portraits before heading into the heart of Sorrento. Harriet changed into a second outfit for a sunset stroll through the lively streets, stopping for a glass of Limoncello Spritz to toast to their new adventure.
This elopement in Sorrento was everything: romantic, stylish, intimate. A day built entirely around love, beauty, and the joy of simply being together.
