How stunning can the Veneto countryside be?
Caro and Chris are a lovely German couple who chose the north of Italy for their beautiful destination wedding.
The couple and their guests came from Munich, just a few hours drive from Verona.
I completely fell in love with this location – a wonderful corner of peace and quiet in the center of Veneto, where the countryside looks just like Tuscany. I loved shooting this wedding so much – and I’m sure you’ll love it too!

Let’s start by saying this: I loved this wedding!
As I met with Caro and Chris for their engagement session in Verona, a few months before the wedding, I knew we could get along well.
They told me they were planning to have a laid-back, relaxing day for themselves and their friends, and that they fell in love with the venue (Antica Dimora del Turco), as it felt so Italian, so beautiful and elegant.
When I came there on their wedding day, I understood what they were saying: the countryside surrounding the villa looks like Tuscany! The soft hills, endless fields in the warm light of late August made it all just perfect.
Caro and Chris got ready separately in two different rooms of the villa, together with their friends and relatives.
They decided to have a first look – always love that! – in the olive garden of the venue.
The area where they had their first look was just too beautiful: olive trees and ancient cypresses crossed only by a small gravel track. So so romantic!
After their first look, they drove together to the Church of Sona, a small church five minutes away that used to be a part of the main property of the Antica Dimora.
There, they had a lovely intimate ceremony surrounded by their closest friends and relatives. One of the couple’s best friends sang for them during the ceremony: it was such an intense, lovely moment!
After the wedding ceremony, we came back to Antica Dimora, where the newlyweds and their guests enjoyed an Italian-style aperitif.
We had the couple shooting in the same area of the first look – and it was perfect!
The golden light of the late afternoon was just stunning.
The wedding party enjoyed the dinner in the main garden of the Antica Dimora. The light created by the light strings was simply perfect – loved the whole wedding design!
There, they also cut the cake and enjoyed the party.
A perfect ending for a perfect wedding day.
