Wedding in Val D’Orcia at Terre di Nano

Two young hearts, one unforgettable celebration: we absolutely LOVED this romantic, fun, and iconic wedding in Val d’Orcia!

Erin and Connor, a beautiful couple from Canada, chose the timeless hills of Tuscany – and Val d’Orcia in particular – for their destination wedding in late October. With around 50 guests in attendance, the entire weekend was centered around soaking in the Italian lifestyle: think long chats with loved ones over Chianti Classico, endless pasta and pizza, vintage cars, rows of cypress trees, and those rolling golden hills stretching into the distance. Pure Tuscan magic.

The morning began with each of them getting ready surrounded by their closest friends. Connor and his groomsmen wore elegant black-tie suits by Harry Rosen and got dressed on a terrace with sweeping views of the countryside. Erin wore a breathtaking Ines di Santo gown: timeless, classic, yet full of personality and flair, just like the day itself.

A gentle rain came and went throughout the day, adding a dreamy haze to their first look – one of the most romantic moments of the entire weekend.

The ceremony took place in the garden’s fountain area, a circular space lined with cypress trees that felt like it was made for this very moment. Erin and Connor exchanged personal vows, then sealed postcards to one another inside a wooden box along with a bottle of Terre di Nano’s Tuscan wine, a keepsake to be opened on a future anniversary.

Afterward, we explored the estate with the couple for their portraits: a vintage car, cypress-lined roads, and finally, a golden burst of sunlight. A postcard-perfect moment of peak Tuscany.

They rejoined their guests for aperitivo, complete with heartfelt speeches and even some first dances. Although dinner was initially planned al fresco, a last-minute rain plan moved the celebration indoors, into a beautiful brick hall glowing with candlelight and long communal tables.

As the night went on, Erin changed into a fun little white party dress for the cake cutting and danced with Connor under fairy lights for a modern, stylish night portrait session.

And of course… the night ended just as it should: with a wild, joyful afterparty no one will soon forget.
