A fashion-forward bride and her wedding at Borgo San Pietro Aquaeortus, Umbria

A bright spring day in central Italy. A wedding at Borgo San Pietro Aquaeortus (SPAO, for short), an enchanted venue, freshly restored to its iconic beauty. The bright green colors of the spring forests, the soft terracotta bricks of an ancient citadel, and a pop twist with a fashionista bride wearing an incredible Monique Lhuillier wedding dress. Sounds like our thing, doesn’t it?

We had met Jackie and Camden the previous year, and we had a lovely portrait session near Perugia. Meeting them again – about to become husband and wife – was a real pleasure, and so was sharing their special day.

It all started with morning activities for the guests: a tasting of wine and local products, a pasta-making class, some vintage sports car rides – and some pool time, of course!

After finishing her hair and makeup session, Jackie wore her stunning Monique Lhuillier wedding dress and headed to her first look with Camden. Before that, they exchanged gifts – such a cute moment! Their final ones before becoming husband and wife.

The wedding ceremony took place in the piazzetta of the Borgo. The floral decor was classic and timeless: white and green florals, perfectly matching the Italian style. At the end of the ceremony, rainbow-colored daylight fireworks lit up the sky.

The wedding dinner took place indoors, after a classic Italian-style aperitif, and was followed by the cutting of an Italian-style millefoglie wedding cake.

The party continued in the attic – and for that moment, Jackie changed into a short, sparkly mini dress, and the couple danced the night away with their friends and families.
