Gay Wedding Proposal Venice – A Love Story in the Carnival of Venice
Alessia & Beatrice – Gay Wedding Proposal Venice
Carnival in Venice is an experience one has to try at least once in a lifetime. Love is something extremely powerful, too – if you add these two, you’ll get this stunning and romantic gay wedding proposal in Venice.
Italy has finally made LGBT civil partnerships legal – it’s not called “wedding” yet, but it’s basically the same.
The recognition of Love in all its forms – a big hooray to that!
Alessia and Beatrice are a beautiful couple from Italy. They have been together for 13 years since they were little girls – a love that grew stronger, together with the discovery of their truer selves.
I immediately fell in love with these two ladies as we met to plan their couple photo session in Venice – the love between them is so powerful and touchable.
We split this photo session in two: a normal-clothes one and one in proper Eighteenth Century Carnival dresses.
I had the privilege to photograph the moment when Alessia knelt in front of her Beatrice and asked her to marry her, in San Marco Square, at night after having spent a few hours shooting together. It was a moment I will never forget, so powerful and so emotional!
The next day we had the Victorian Age Dresses photo session. We started at the Hotel Molino Stucky, where the ladies spent the night and had a long walk around the beautiful Island of the Giudecca.
I always love couples who really show who they are, their love and their emotions. That’s what happened with Alessia and Beatrice: a true celebration of Love in its truest and purest form.
Congratulations to the future brides!
