Elopement Video Venice – A super romantic day in Venice for Kristin and Phil

Kristin and Phil are a couple from Seattle and they chose Venice for their romantic elopement.

The day started at Hotel Abadessa, in Calle Priuli Cannaregio. I first met Kristin while she was getting her make-up. 

I asked her how he proposed, how they met, why they chose Venice for their elopement. I also helped her with the dress! I did it to break the ice because it isn’t easy to feel comfortable when you are alone, getting ready for the “Yes, I do” without your closest friend.

I’m sure that sometimes you just need to put down the camera and help the future bride with her wedding dress.

It happens when the couple just wants to elope and there’s no family and friends there. In those moments I become somehow more than just a vendor.
I’m there to understand the excitement.
As a bride you just can’t put on your wedding dress alone, I’m here to tell you “I can help you”. And that’s what happened.

After the getting ready Kristin went to her future groom for the first look. Phil loved the dress (it was amazing).

We took a water taxi and we went to the ceremony location: Scuola Grande ai Carmini.

There were a celebrant and a violinist waiting for the couple. There was also Amber from Angel Lion Wedding Planner, who organized all the details for this elopement.

After the ceremony, we took another water taxi and we went to my favourite spot in Venice: San Giorgio.

I think I’ll always be amazed by the view of San Marco from this spot, plus there is no crowd here and you can just live the moment, intimately.

In a city like Venice you’re surrounded by tons of people almost everywhere, that’s why I’ll always prefer to bring my couples to places like this one!
