Elopement Photography Venice – Nat & John
Two lovebirds from Australia, a love story that feels like a movie!
Nat and John’s families have Italian origins, and the couple flew to Italy with Nat’s parents to visit their homeland.
It was only the night before the wedding when the couple gave the news to the family: “Mom, dad, we are getting married tomorrow. Will you be our witnesses?”
The rest of the story is here – enjoy!
Our day with Nat and John started in the amazing Isola delle Rose, a private island of Venice where the majestic J.W. Marriott Resort lies.
The couple rented one of the Maisonette suite – a two-stories mini apartment with a lovely garden and a private pool.
John got ready first, then waited outside for his bride to be ready.
Nat was stunning in her boho gown, so perfect for such a warm day!
They had their first look among the olive forest of the island, in such an intimate and beautiful moment.
Then they met with Nat’s parents – the look in their eyes when they saw their girl in her wedding gown was priceless!
We took a water taxi all together to reach Palazzo Cavalli, where civil ceremonies take place. They had a lovely and intimate wedding ceremony there, and then we took the chance to shoot the iconic photo on the balcony of the townhall – our way!
After the ceremony, we had a water taxi tour around the city to shoot some photos in the most beautiful spots of the city.
We had a little break afterward – it was August 4th, the weather was really really hot! – and then started the second part of our shooting among the tiny streets of Venice.
A gondola ride closed our tour of the city in the most romantic way.
Then, we came back to the Marriott hotel where the couple had a reservation for an intimate dinner at the restaurant Dopolavoro. A toast of champagne at sunset closed our day with them – it was so lovely!
