For Madeline and Luca, their elopement at Anantara Convento di Amalfi was much more than a photo session: it was a curated experience designed around their personalities, desires, and a love for the “soft living” that only the Amalfi Coast can provide.

The day began before sunrise. There is a rare, unbelievable magic to Amalfi at dawn, and we were able to experience it fully as the couple took a solitary drive along the coast’s famously narrow, winding roads. With Luca behind the wheel of his dream car – a vintage red Alfa Romeo – and Madeline in a chic white mini dress, the scene felt like a lost frame from a 1960s Italian film. As the warm summer sun rose over the horizon, the light hit the limestone cliffs in the most spectacular way.

After a slow morning, we joined them at the breathtaking Anantara Convento di Amalfi. This 13th-century former Capuchin monastery, nestled on the cliffside, offers a palpable history of Italian heritage. For their ceremony, Madeline chose the iconic Cult Gaia Ashika gown: a structured, plissé midi-dress that moved beautifully against the ancient stone, paired with pearly Jimmy Choo sandals.

They exchanged vows in the historic chiostro where the stillness of the thirteenth-century arches met the romantic notes of a solo violin. To preserve the memory in a truly unique way, a live painter worked alongside us, capturing the heartfelt exchange of their personal vows in real-time.

As the day moved into the evening, Madeline opted for one final outfit change before we headed to the water – a form-fitting lace gown that was so cool for the boat ride experience! A private boat ride, catching the last rays of sun, was the perfect ending of such a spectacular day. Drifting along the coast, watching the lights of Amalfi begin to flicker from the cliffs, it was clear that Madeline and Luca didn’t just visit Italy: they truly lived all its magic.
