Catholic Jewish Wedding Southern France – A Lovely Destination Wedding on the Pyrenees
Imagine the mountains and hills of Southern France, a lovely cabin in the woods and a boho cultural wedding for a beautiful couple.
This is exactly the “long story short” of this wedding!
The bride is Catholic, while the groom is Jewish; they had an Ecumenic ceremony joining the two cultures, on a warm sunny day of late July.
We love shooting and filming cultural weddings, and we love traveling – that’s why we loved this wedding!
Oli & Raphael’s wedding was planned to be a whole weekend wedding, as both the couple and their friends come from Paris.
They decided to get married in the family’s “cabin in the woods”. They had a lovely outdoor ceremony, so emotional!
The bride and groom got ready separately. She put on her wedding dress with her bridesmaids in the family home, while he and his friends were staying in a villa nearby.
The Ecumenic ceremony, the Catholic Jewish Wedding took place under the traditional gazebo. The groom waited for his bride to come, and she came riding one of her father’s horses: a stunning entrance!
The ceremony combined elements of the Catholic and Jewish traditions and was celebrated by a priest and a rabbi together.
It was just lovely: two cultures meeting, a Love that goes beyond the religious differences.
After the ceremony, the closest relatives and friends of the couple gave their speeches, then we had some time for the couple photos and shots.
Then we moved to the reception location, a party house decorated by the couple with greens from the woods surrounding the whole town.
A great party, a friendly dinner and a lot of dance – they really danced the night away!
